Event Information
- The UVA Children's Hospital Main Event is a premier fundraising event, drawing nearly 500 prominent individuals from the Charlottesville community. This year, the Main Event will be moving to Downtown Charlottesville and will be held at Common House, the city's newest social club. The event will offer a sophisticated evening of silent auction, food and drinks, and dancing. Main Event 2018 proceeds will go toward enhancing the pediatric inpatient unit of UVA Children's Hospital. Our goal is to transform the space to into a colorful and imaginative environment, while also providing a comforting sanctuary for children and their families. Plans include new spaces for respite and renewal for adults, as well as interactive play areas for children undergoing treatments. Further, the changes to the seventh floor will also allow us to establish a convenient location for a new bone marrow transplant program, strengthening the outstanding care provided to pediatric cancer patients at UVA.
